Well it has been a week since I have graduated, still getting use to that fact. Though I still don't really feel any different since I've been here, though a year older and a graduate surprisingly just feel independent at the moment. Well this week has been nice, we had a long weekend last week because of a Bank Holiday, so we had a nice four day week. I am going to start doing a bit more while I am at school this week, which sadly, there are only three more weeks, 15 days left of my student teaching experience here in England. Then I jet set off to another city! I am really having a brilliant time here and enjoying my time at school. I have been learning new things every day and teaching things to students everyday.
Yesterday was an exciting day! We got to see Danny DeVito and Richard Griffiths! We decided again that we would go to another play in the West End, which we saw The Sunshine Boys!! It was HILARIOUS, I could not stop laughing throughout the play, everyone in it did a brilliant job. Well our adventure started earlier, before the play. We thought we would try and go out to see Olympic Park. HAHA, well nothing was going our way starting in the morning. We did not leave when we were originally going to, hence causing a ripple effect. Then we had to wait and catch a bus into town, finally got into town then got onto another bus into London. Then by the time we got into London, it was later than we originally planned. We attempted to make our way to Olympic Park, but then ran into transportation issues along the way, delaying our trip, then once on the way we realised that it would be pointless to go out there at this point because we would have to turn around and come back by the time we got there. So we got off at a stop, walked around, and then got lunch. After lunch, made our way to the theatre and saw our play. Once again, it was awesome! Then afterwards, we made our way to Olympic Park, which is made a bit more complicated than it needs to be to find. We walked by and saw some of the Stadiums, then went in to the John Lewis department store where they have a London Olympics store. On the floor they have a window where you can look out to the park and see the park, which is still a work in progress, but saw the Orbit, Olympic Stadium, Aquatics Center, and Polo Stadium. We also got a glimpse of the world's largest McDonald's. Then after that we made our way back to Soho and walked around some more and explored a bit more. Then we went and got a bit to eat. Afterwards, we started to make our way back.
It was a lovely day in London, the weather was beautiful and it was a nice way to spend our last trip into London for a while. Though surprisingly the weather seems to be remaining nice for the moment, just hope it gets a bit warmer. And of course today is Mother's Day, which I would like to send a shout out to my mom! I appreciate everything you do and have done for me! I miss you and hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!!!
Well I am going to enjoy my Sunday and relax! Still can't believe I'm half way through my trip and student teaching, where has the time gone.
